The Domaine was founded in the 1970s following the marriage of Jean-François Coche and Odile Dury, although the Coche family has been making wine in Meursault for several generations. Now, as well as holdings in Meursault, the family have vineyards in Puligny-Montrachet, Auxey-Duresses, Monthelie, Volnay and in the Corton Grand Cru vineyard. All up, the Coche-Dury champagne chavost holdings represent around nine hectares worth, about half of which are in Meursault itself. His wines are something special, and he almost have the same status as Henri Jayer, who was quite unique in Vosne Romanee. I have onlye seen Les Luchet in the 1992 vintage , and Les Tetes Cassese, is only seen in the 1986 vintage, so both may be out of the picture now. This season was marked by an optimal balance of warm days and cool nights, a perfect scenario for nurturing the Chardonnay grapes to  their fullest potential.
