From the station, it is about a 15 minute walk to the Hill of Youth area, then a further 5 minutes to the Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse, and another 20 minutes to the Dondoko Forest. The Mononoke Village is a 5 minute walk east of the Hill of Youth. Osu Kannon is Nagoya’s answer to Akihabara. The half-indoor-half-outdoor shopping area is about the size of a small neighbourhood and in fact, offers even more variety than Tokyo’s famous ‘nerd town’.
The elevated platforms for all but the Shinkansen are located on the east side of the station, beneath the JR Central Towers. The Tokaido Shinkansen is located on the western side. The station originally opened in 1886, and the current complex was completed in 1999.
The Kawaguchi foreign settlement, now the Kawaguchi subdistrict, is a legacy of the foreign presence in Osaka. At the beginning of the third century CE the grand shrine of Sumiyoshi-taisha was inaugurated near the harbor, commissioned by consort Empress Jingū. This Shinto shrine structure survived historical events, which inaugurated a new style in the construction of Shinto shrines, called Sumiyoshi-zukuri. The maritime panorama enjoyed from the shrine gardens inspired several artists, and nowadays the representations of that type of landscape are called Sumiyoshi drawings. Which is located in the central Chuo-ku district. Buried human skeletons and a kaizuka , were found as well as shell mounds, oysters, and other interesting archaeological discoveries from the Jomon period.

Prices start at ￥300 for a bowl of rei-men (冷麺) which are cold noodles served with vegetables, topped with an egg and a spicy sauce for mixing into the soup. The corridors become smaller and there are plenty of corners to navigate. I continue to turn left and right until I come across a butcher selling every possible piece of a cow. Every organ was neatly separated into metal trays and set in its place with a price tag.

In the area, you'll mainly find ryokan style inns and onsen bath facilities perfect for day-tripping or an overnight escape. Osu, located not far from Nagoya station on the Meijo and Tsurumai subway lines, is centered around Osu Kannon Temple. Any visit to the temple is not complete without 名古屋 韓国料理 a stroll around the many shops and restaurants. Together, the two share a long history of providing Nagoya’s cultural and entertainment center. The hotel was located near a lot of convenience stores so it was very easy to hop over to one in the morning or evening for a snack or dessert.
Récolte-ôsu offers many unexpected flavors, like peach and black sesame, along with conventional chocolate/vanilla options, swirled atop a cone filled with yakiimo puree. While a confusing combination, it was worth it for the thick and satisfying ice cream alone. Eating the ice cream and potato together left me dubious, but separately they’re both winners. I thought no cut of meat could match the black magic of a Famichiki from Family Mart, but what a fool I was. The savory citrus-soy sauce flavor of the ponzu atop the pile of steaming hot juicy karaage sent me flying into orbit.
Located near Nagoya Station, these areas boast a plethora of shopping options, from high-end department stores to trendy boutiques. The apartment includes two living rooms, a separate bedroom, a small kitchen, and a cozy, clean bathroom. The hotel also offers a public bath, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring Nagoya. In short, while this is an affordable hotel, they really think about their guests.
The tower is in the corner of Hisaya Odori Park, which runs north-south in the middle of the street. The 100-meter tall Nagoya TV Tower is actually the first consolidated radio tower in Japan. The sky balcony provides a sweeping view of the city. The Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology is a unique place to visit in Nagoya.
