Mayfield Early Education Bayswater provides high-quality childcare and kindergarten programs for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. Play-based learning experiences are provided for older children who no longer don’t sleep in centre. They want to learn and explore, which is why we teach through play-based learning. It supports language, motor skills, memory, emotions and social relationships. Educators plan play-based learning experiences based on children’s interests and goals. My career in early childhood education began in 2005 and I joined Great Beginnings Boronia in 2015. I was a lead educator for seven years across all age groups before moving into management roles in 2011.
Our Infant Group is a warm, nurturing space where your child’s earliest experiences are filled with care, comfort, and connection. We know that the first two years of life are a critical time for brain development, so our educators focus on creating secure attachments and building trust through gentle routines and responsive care. As you enter our Nursery space, you are immediately transported to a calm oasis. Our Government-approved Kindergarten program is delivered by qualified Early Childhood Teachers, supporting structured learning and helping children prepare for school. The centre embraces diversity and welcomes families from all backgrounds and cultures. This ethos is reflected in all our practices, including our weekly meal plans. Our team of 19 culturally diverse educators create an environment where each culture is acknowledged, celebrated and respected. All children enrolled in  our long day care program must be up to date with their immunisations or have an approved exemption.
From 2025, both 3- and 4-year-old children will receive 15 hours per week of funded kindergarten. To ensure that your child receives 15 hours per week, they must attend 3 days a week. We run a kindergarten program for 3- and 4-year-olds who attend long day care at our Centres. Our kindergarten program is delivered by qualified early childhood teachers for 5 hours a day during day care hours. Excursions support children to explore and get to know different spaces outside of their immediate world at the centre. We run a variety of excursions and incursions to enhance learning and development.

Many families face long waitlists, limited availability, or centres that don’t align with their schedule. The staff, from nursery to toddlers, are amazing and management is very helpful. The center is clean and fresh, and offers great learning tools for my two children. We have been attending this center for nearly two years and I aim to have my children transition to school from this center.
